iOS FAQs

Jottr can be used anonymously for as long as you wish. However, there are limits on the length of time for which Jottr will remember your likes and dislikes. You can create an account at any time via the registration links and prompts within the app. Registering will allow you to preserve your relationship with Jottr and maintain that relationship across all of your devices.

Your account and settings can be edited via the profile tab, then hit the cog icon in the top right hand corner of your screen

Your Jottr home feed is where Jottr serves you content which is uniquely tailored for you. Most of the content Jottr knows you'll like. Some Jottr thinks you'll like. Over time, Jottr will start increasing the degree of discovery in your stream.

Importantly, Jottr won't just keep feeding you content. If you are only interested in a specific type of content and you've read it all, Jottr won't just force-feed you click-bait. If there's nothing there, it means you're up to speed!

Jottr will automatically add contexts to your profile as she learns more about what you like. However, when browsing a context's content, you can manually add the context to your profile by tapping the "add context" in the top right hand corner of your screen.

Jottr will automatically adjust your context profile for you as you browse the content, but if you'd like to, you can manually adjust your context profiles via the My Contexts tab of the profile settings page, accessed via the cog icon in the top right hand corner of your screen.

When reading a Jott, you can choose to block all the content created by the publisher of that Jott from your home feed. You will continue to see content from that publisher in search results and context feeds, but we won't give you any content from the publisher in your home feed. You can do this by tapping the dots icon on the bottom of your screen.

When reading a Jott, if you want to flag the content as inappropriate, you can tap the dots icon on the bottom of your screen, then hit Flag Jott. Jottr will use this information to assess the quality of the publisher's content stream.

Bugs can be reported via this support site: please click on the Help icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. You can also report bugs via our web app: https://jottr.ai. We will soon be integrating this functionality directly into our iOS app.

If you haven't registered a profile with Jottr (you haven't given your email address and created a password), then there's nothing for you to do: just delete the app.

If you have registered with Jottr, then please head to our website: jottr.ai, login, head to your profile page and delete your account.
